Dhanukshi Uduwanage initially joined as a Head of Immigration Services of iaec Consultants, the subsidiary of Melgate and currently holds her capacity as a Managing Partner of Melgate International and serves the Board of Directors of the company.
She is also a Sri Lankan citizen and has gained well-rounded experience and knowledge with Legal background in Sri Lanka. She attended to Sri Lanka Law College in 2003 and graduated in December 2006 as a licenced Attorney-at-Law of Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.
She completed her internship from AG’s Department of Sri Lanka and was called to the Bar in December 2006. She started her professional career as a Criminal Defense Lawyer and has been a professional member of the legal community in good standing since the time. Before joining Melgate she was in the UK and exposed with international immigration law practices. At the completion of her post-graduate studies, earning Masters in Law (LLM) she has accomplished standard legal nature in immigration from leading immigration law firms in the UK. Associating with number of UK, Australian and Singapore immigration law firms she has extensively developed her professionalism in immigration law for different jurisdictions.
She has academically qualified and earned LLM specified in International Trade, commercial and business Law (UK) and Criminal Defense, Human Right and Forensic Science, Aviation law academic credentials and currently holds valid licence as registered Patent and Copyright and Trademark Attorney. In addition, she has earned benchmark trainings and obtained number of licence and qualifications and professional recognitions as a qualified Immigration Attorney.
Dhanukshi has devoted last 14 years of her career to the array of legal sectors especially in criminal and immigration. She has carved all aspects of migration, student, business & investment, visit, temporary work, family visas, humanitarian and citizenship applications with a higher rate of success. During her professional journey she has earned her own passion in advocating, decision making and analysing complicated immigration law matters and handling refusal reviews and appeals.
